Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) telah mengeluarkan peringatan dini adanya potensi bencana hidrometeorologi di beberapa wilayah Indonesia pada 23-30 Januari 2019.

Bencana Hidrometeorologi seperti banjir, longsor, banjir bandang, dan angin kencang terjadi sebagai dampak dari curah hujan yang tinggi di Bulan Januari 2019.

Dikutip Tribunnews.com dari akun Instagram @infobmkg pada Rabu (23/1/2019), hasil analisis dinamika atmosfer pada Selasa (22/1/2019) kemarin terpantau terdapat aliran massa udara basah dari Samudra Hindia yang masuk ke wilayah Jawa, kalimantan, Bali, NTB hingga NTT.

Bersamaan dengan itu, masih kuatnya Monsun Dingin Asia beserta hangatnya suhu muka laut di wilayah perairan Indonesia menyebabkan tingkat penguapan dan pertumbuhan awan cukup tinggi.

Dari pantuan pergerakan angin, BMKG mendeteksi adanya daerah pertemuan angin yang konsisten dalam beberapa hari terakhir memanjang dari wilayah Sumatera bagian selatan, Laut Jawa, Jawa Timur, Bali, hingga NTB dan NTT.

Secara khusus, BMKG melalui Tropical Cyclone Warning Center (TCWC) di Jakarta tengah memonitor adanya tiga bibit badai tropis di dekat wilayah Indonesia.

Salah satu bibit siklon yang saat ini berada di Laut Timor (94S) berpotensi meningkat menjadi siklon tropis dalam tiga hari kedepan.

Bibit siklon ini juga dapat mengakibatkan potensi cuaca ekstrem berupa angin kencang yang dapat mencapai di atas 25 knot terjadi di wilayah Indonesia seperti Riau, Kepulauan Riau, Jambi, Sumatera Selatan, Bangka Belitung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Bali, NTB, NTT, Sulawesi Tenggara dan Sulawesi Selatan.

Terkait hal ini, BMKG kembali mengimbau kepada masyarakat agar tetap waspada dan siaga dalam menghadapi periode puncak musim hujan 2019.

Khususnya akan dampak dari curah hujan tinggi yang akan memicu bencana Hidrometeorologi seperti banjir, longsor, banjir bandang, dan angin kencang yang meningkat pada akhir Januari 2019.

Antara lain potensi banjir, tanah longsor, banjir bandang, genangan, angin kencang, pohon tumbang dan jalan licin.

Masyarakat juga diimbau agar selalu memperbarui informasi dari BMKG serta instansi terkait untuk memastikan mitigasi bencana hidrometeorologi dapat dilakukan dengan baik.
