Kabut asap akibat kebakaran hutan dan lahan atau Karhutla di Sumatera masih terjadi saat ini.
Bahkan satu bayi 4 bulan meninggal dunia dampak Karhutla tersebut.
Elsa Pitaloka, bayi berusia 4 bulan dari pasangan suami istri Ngadirun (34) dan Ita Septina (27) warga dusun III Desa Talang Bulu, Kecamatan Talang Kelapa, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Palembang meninggal dunia diduga akibat kabut asap pada Minggu (15/9/2019).

Berikut fakta-fakta bayi 4 bulan meninggal dunia di Sumatra Selatan, Tribunnews.com merangkum dari beberapa sumber.

1. Infeksi yang Menyerang Paru-paru
Elsa Pitaloka didiagnosa terkena pneumonia atau penyakit infeksi paru-paru.
Hal tersebut dikatakan Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Banyuasin dr Mgs Hakim seperti dilaporkan Kompas.com.
Infeksi tersebut menyebabkan kantung udara di dalam paru mengalami peradangan dan membengkak.
“Dari hasil kunjungan tim kesehatan Banyuasin ke RS Ar- Rasyid memang benar ada pasien bayi umur 4 bulan didiagnosa pneumonia, dan meninggal,” kata Hakim.
Orang tua Elsa sempat membawanya ke puskesmas lalu dirujuk ke Rumah Sakit Ar Rasyid Palembang.
Sampai di rumah sakit Elsa langsung diinfus, namun tujuh jam kemudian kondisinya kian memburuk dan dinyatakan meninggal dunia sebelum sempat dirujuk ke Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin.
Pneumonia sendiri berawal dari Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan (ISPA) dan umumnya terjadi pada anak kecil.

Terutama apabila terdapat gizi kurang ditambah dengan keadaan lingkungan yang tidak sehat.
2. Ditemukan Bakteri di Paru-paru
Sebelum dilarikan ke puskesmas dan kemudian dirujuk ke rumah sakit, Orang tua Elsa, Ngadirun mengatakan sebelumnya buah hatinya mengalami pilek, batuk dan perutnya sering kembung.
Namun demikian Elsa masih sadar dan masih mau menerima asupan ASI.
Diberitakan Sripoku.com, sebenarnya bayi Elsa hendak dirujuk ke RS Mohammada Hoesin (RSMH).
Namun karena tidak tersedianya kamar kosong, membuat Elsa tetap dirawat di kamar kelas 3 RS Ar Rasyid,.
Dokter spesialis anak sempat memeriksa kesehatan Elsa dan memang menyarankan segera dibawah ke RS Mohammad Hoesin.
Namun, takdir berkata lain. Ketika akan dibawa ke RSMH Palembang nyawa Elsa tidak dapat tertolong lagi.
Elsa menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya pada pukul 18.35.
Orangtua Elsa, Ngadirun mendapat keterangan bahwa buah hatinya memiliki masalah di bagian paru-paru atau ada bakteri didalamnya.
3. Rumah Banyak Pepohonan
Tempat tinggal bayi Elsa sebenarnya masih banyak pepohonon hijau, bahkan dipinggir jalan yang menjadi akses ke rumah tersebut juga banyak terdapat tanaman pohon karet.
Namun demikian karena kabut asap dari karhutla yang semakin parah dari beberapa hari belakangan membuat keberadaan pohon-pohon tersebut seakan tak membantu.
Laporan TribunSumsel, pada Minggu (15/9/2019) malam, asap kian pekat dan juga membuat mata semakin perih.
Kemungkinan, asap bisa masuk ke dalam rumah melalui pentilasi udara yang ada di kusen pintu dan jendela.
Lantaran, pentilasi kusen pintu dan jendela terlihat sangat besar dan tidak ditutupi.
Saat masuk ke dalam rumah, bau asap bekas bakaran juga sempat tercium.
Asap juga, terlihat berada di ruang depan dan di ruang tengah tempat jenazah Elsa disemayamkan.
Kepala dusun setempat, Suyatno yang ditemui di rumah duka mengatakan, beberapa hari terakhir ini asap akibat Karhutla di lingkungannya terasa lebih pekat, menjelang sore hingga pagi hari, asap begitu sangat terasa.
4. Biaya Perawatan Ditanggung Sendiri
Ditengah kondisi harus kehilangan sang anak, Ngadirun dan istrinya harus mengeluarkan biaya perawatan untuk sang buah hatinya lantaran tak terdaftar dalam asuransi BPJS ataupun KIS yang dikeluarkan pemerintah.
Karena tidak memiliki jaminan kesehatan, mulai dari datang ke bidan desa, ke rumah sakit RS Sukajadi hingga ke RS Ar Rasyid, Ngadirun harus mengeluarkan biaya dari kantong sendiri.
“Yang dapat KIS hanya istri saya saja. Sedangkan saya dan anak saya Elsa tidak dapat, sebenarnya sudah beberapa kali diajukan ke Kecamatan tetapi tidak keluar- keluar,” ujar Ngadirun dikutip dari Sripoku.com.
Sebagai seorang buruh tani yang tidak memiliki penghasilan tetap, mau tidak mau Ngadirun mengeluarkan uang yang menjadi tabungannya untuk biaya berobat sang anak.
“Namanya demi anak, uang yang ada digunakan untuk biaya berobat. Tetapi takdir berkata lain,” ungkap Ngadirun lirih.
