Mengerikan. Sekitar 600 warga korban demo brutal Senin (23/9/2019) lalu di Wamena Kabupaten Jayawijaya mengaku sempat disandera oleh masa aksi. Bahkan sejumlah warga dibakar hidup-hidup.
Hal ini diungkap Amores saat ditemui di Baseops Lanud Silas Papare Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura, Kamis (26/9/2019).

“Kami dijadikan sandera dari siang sampai malam, sekitar 10 jam. Mereka bawa parang semua, info yang kami dengar, mereka juga bawa senjata juga. Mereka minta pendemo yang diamankan polisi dibebaskan,” kata dia.

Dikatakan, ratusan warga yang disandera itu, puluhan adalah bayi dan anak-anak, termasuk juga ibu hamil.
“Mereka brutal, mereka itu bukan manusia, banyak bayi, ibu hamil juga ada. Mereka bakar satu keluarga, dimasukkan dalam Honai lalu dibakar. Ada juga yang dipaksa masuk mobil lalu dibakar. Mereka biadab,” ungkapnya geram.
Bapak aparat, bantulah mereka yang ada disana, tidak aman disana, tolong bantu mereka untuk evakuasi,” sambungnya.
Informasi dihimpun media ini, ratusan warga yang disandera masa pendemo yang diduga ditunggangi kelompok separatis ini adalah warga dipinggiran kota Wamena, tepatnya di Pike (Daerah jalan Trans Papua).
Saat kejadian pecah, warga hendak mengungsi ke kantor DPRD, Polres, Kodim dan Koramil yang berada ditengah kota Wamena.
Namun saat hendak mengungsi, warga malah tertahan dengan masa perusuh, yang berada dipinggir kota.
Mereka dikumpulkan oleh massa perusuh di dalam satu tempat yaitu di dalam Gereja Kibaid dan Honai sebagai jaminan.
Dengan tuntutan aparat keamanan membebaskan 6 orang massa perusuh yg di amankan oleh apkam.

Negosiasi dimulai sekitar pkl 12.00 berlangsung alot karena apkam juga tidak diizinkan masuk ke wilayah tersebut oleh massa perusuh karena sudah diblokade dan juga mengancam apabila Aparat Keamanan (Apkam) melintasi wilayah yang di blokade tersebut maka keselamatan masyarakat tersebut yang jadi ancaman.
Dari massa perusuh yang diizinkan melintas blokade adalah perwakilan aparat tanpa menggunakan senjata, sehingga negosiasi dilakukan oleh 2 orang negosiator perwakilan TNI/POLRI tanpa membawa senjata.
Massa perusuh terus mendesak 6 orang massa perusuh yang diamankan agar ditukar dengan 600 orang warga yang disandera dalam Honai dan Gereja.
Sekitar pkl 16.30 WIT 6 orang massa perusuh yang diamankan oleh Apkam dihadirkan di tengah-tengah untuk ditukarkan dengan 500 warga pendatang.
Proses penyerahan masih saja berlangsung alot meski pun 6 tersangka massa perusuh sudah dihadirkan untuk ditukarkan.
Proses pembebasan warga tersebut belangsung dalam 2 gelombang, sekitar pukul 17.00 WIT sekitar 400 orang anak-anak, ibu-ibu dan bapak-bapak yang disandera di hadirkan utk diserahkan ke aparat kampung.
Kondisi saat itu sangat mencekam sehingga banyak anak-anak dan ibu-ibu yang menangis ketakutan dan banyak juga yang berdoa karena mereka tau ajal mereka sudah di depan mata.
Setelah gelombang I selesai dilaksanakan penyerahan 100 warga yang masih tertahan di dalam.
Setelah 1 persatu mereka melintas di blokade dan disambut haru oleh keluarga yang menunggu di seberang blokade mereka langsung dievakuasi ke dalam kendaraan.
